SÜDPACK highlights mono-material coffee packaging and aroma protection

A new market update links changing coffee formats with aroma protection, mono-material films and compatibility with existing filling equipment.

SÜDPACK has published an update on how changing coffee demand is influencing flexible packaging. Smaller packs and different brewing habits are increasing the need for adaptable formats while aroma protection remains essential.

The company describes mono-material PP and PE structures designed to combine barriers against oxygen and moisture with an approach to recycling. Its CarbonLite mono-PP laminate is intended for existing vertical form-fill-seal equipment; compatible PP degassing valves can be heat-sealed to the pouch.

For coffee producers, the practical priorities are pack integrity, reliable processing and protection throughout distribution. Recycling suitability depends on the complete pack structure and the collection and recycling systems available locally.
