Tetra Pak and Italian dairy company Sterilgarda Alimenti announced a one-litre aseptic carton using a paper-based barrier. According to the companies, the format is intended for ambient distribution and reaches 90% renewable content when combined with plant-based polymers. The launch extends the technology beyond earlier portion-size packs. It illustrates continuing work on the balance between barrier performance and material composition in shelf-stable dairy packaging.
